The second Town Hall for this year was held on April 17 at Travancore Hall in Park Centre, Technopark. The entire Toonz Trivandrum team ensured lively participation making this quarterly event a special one. In his address, Toonz Media Group CEO Mr. P Jayakumar emphasized the importance of embracing change without fear or hesitation and said that it is only by confronting challenges head-on that we can emerge stronger and more resilient. Mr. Jayakumar also provided the employees an update from various divisions within Toonz Media Group and handed over Star Performers and Emerging Star certificates to outstanding performers. Service Awards were also provided to employees to recognise their service and contribution.
Toonz CEO Mr. P Jayakumar has been unanimously elected as the President of Society of AVGC Institutions in Kerala (SAIK). At the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Malabar Hall in Technopark, Trivandrum recently, SAIK members elected the office bearers. The office bearers will play a crucial role in promoting the AVGC-XR industry in the state and work towards making the state a hub-destination for AVGC-XR. Commenting on his election as the President, Mr. Jayakumar thanked the members for entrusting him with this responsibility. “Together, we embark on a journey of transformation and progress. With your unwavering support, let's ignite a new era, making Kerala the shining beacon of AVGC-XR innovation in India,” he added.

Toonz Media Group and Be That Spark Corp, a joint venture between BLKBX Originals and Zuroam Media based in California, have joined forces in a groundbreaking co-production and co-distribution agreement for the upcoming 3D animated series, "Little Sparks\". Based on the beloved and award-winning children's book series "A Little Spark\" by Chris Parsons, this will be adapted into a captivating CGI animated series tailored for children aged 4 to 8 years old. A subsequent feature film based on the book series is being planned as well. In addition to the animated series, Toonz Media Group will develop a companion mobile app and a thrilling Roblox game inspired by the "Little Sparks\" universe.
Toonz’ senior executive Maria Romanelli represented the company at the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair (BLFT) in Italy, which was held from April 8 to 11. Bologna Licensing Trade Fair / Kids is the only licensing event in Italy and South Europe and offers multiple services both to exhibitors and visitors. Meeting point for all licensing players, the event is intended for Licensees, Licensors, Licensing Agencies, Audiovisual production companies, broadcasters, distributors and buyers. It may be noted that this is the second time in a row Toonz has successfully participated in this important trade fair.
New licensing and platform deals have been signed for Toonz Media Group’s Zoonicorn around the world. The licensing program has expanded to include SRM Entertainment, which has released branded products in its Sip With Me children’s cup line and will add tumblers and plush backpacks to its collection soon. New platforms that have signed on to carry the series are Cartoon Network in the Philippines, Mediacorp in Singapore, DexyCo Kids in the Balkans and more. In the Philippines, Zoonicorn recently debuted on Cartoon Network, and toy distributor Playkit launched Zoonicorn toys and other products at retail. Edel Kids organized a theatrical release of eight episodes of Zoonicorn in more than 400 theaters across Germany and Austria. The screenings provided product and plush giveaways supplied by Zoonicorn master toy licensee United Smile.
Mr. Venkitesh R V, Production Assistant has won two medals—Gold for Javelin Throw and Silver for Triple Jump—at Technolympix sports meet. Mr. Venkitesh achieved this feat at the competition held at GV Raja Central Stadium Trivandrum on 21st April 2024. It may be noted that Technolympix is an inter-company sports event, which aims to showcase the athletic prowess of IT professionals and promote a healthy lifestyle among them. The event was organized by Natana, the arts, cultural, and sports club of IT Parks in Kerala.
